A series of talks and workshops will be held on Thursday and Friday, and the main book fair with over 120 exhibitors will be open Saturday from 11:00 AM–6:00 PM. We’ll have copies of Issue 12 + a surprise new tote bag that will be available to book fair attendees before anyone else.
About The Event:
Multiple Formats: Contemporary Art Book Symposium weaves together conversations about artist books and higher education, pedagogical practices involving artist books, artist advocacy, and artist book distribution, collection, and access.
The 2024 edition of Multiple Formats kicks off with a keynote lecture by Ashley James, Associate Curator of Contemporary Art on Thursday, March 21, at 7:00 PM. Friday’s symposium on March 22 includes workshops, short-form presentations, and collaborative teaching and making events. On Saturday, March 23, over 135 exhibitors will showcase their work and creative practices in the second annual Multiple Formats Art Book Fair. The book fair offers free admission, and all ages are welcome to attend.
Multiple Formats aims to build community and strengthen creative networks, create a hub for research and sharing of work, and platform substantive discussion about sustainable creative practices that include artist books.
