Thank you so much to those of you who joined us in celebrating the launch of Issue 07: Rooting at the all new open-air garage and patio at the Charles River Speedway.
The evenings festivities could not have been possible without our incredible collaborators.
Music was brought to you by the Boston-based collaborative, Boudoir whose DJs Math3ca, Adam Unknown, Bricklayer, and Mx. Blaire brought the perfect mix of disco and techno dance jams. Please give them a follow to catch where they will be spinning tracks at next! Rumor has it they have another event coming up in just a couple of weeks.
The warehouse space was thoughtfully activated by Digital Soup, a Boston-based collective that presents multimedia environments and fosters space for experimentation for queer and underrepresented artists especially from BIPOC and AAPI communities. They’ve already updated their website with gorgeous documentation from the night which included work by artists, Lani Asuncion, DebStep, Maria Servellón, Allison Tanenhaus, A. Marcel, Vidumami [Eric Krauter], and Diamond Machine [Danny Pryor]. Please explore their work and keep them in mind for future collaborations, exhibitions, and activations.
The continued success of our launch party events reminds us of the importance of providing space for community gatherings around the arts in Boston. We are so grateful for the space that this publication has been able to provide in bridging gaps and increasing accessibility around contemporary art in Boston. Thank YOU for being a part of the growing BAR community.
