Shana Dumont Garr is a doctoral candidate at the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts, specializing in the impact of spirituality on culture from the nineteenth century to the present. She teaches art history at Emerson College and is the Assistant Curator of Campus Engagement at Emerson Contemporary. Her previous posts include Curator of Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, MA, and Director of Exhibitions and Programs at Artspace in Raleigh, NC.
